Here, I will provide you with one such simple method to display simple product image for configurable product image in Magento 2 Mini Cart and Cart. For example, if the customer purchased added green colour product to the cart and purchased another item. After making a purchase, he is visiting to cart page and proceeds further to checkout. At that instance of time, the customer may get confused about the colour they’ve added to the cart.
The solution is to show the selected product image in the cart and minicart to avoid confusion.
